Victoria BC Climate Description

Being on the west coast of North America you would expect that Victoria BC gets its fair share of rain fall, and it does, but not as much as you would expect. Victoria BC is in fact semi arid, receives the lowest amount of rainfall on the west coast of British Columbia and the climate has been compared to be the equivalent of the northern Mediterranean.

Victoria BC's temperature range is moderate all year round. The summer months are usually clear and sunny for long stretches of time and the temperature can range from lows of around 8° at night to highs of 24° or greater during the day. The winter months are the rainiest months, especially November, December and January. Snow is not common, but a few flakes manage to fall every year and we are rarely ever "snowed in". Winter temperature ranges can be with lows averaging around 2° and highs around 7°.
